Two giant heart-shaped lakes in the desert — Dubai's favourite spot for sunset, photos and a romantic picnic. Free entry, free parking.

Best at sunset

🦩 Al Qudra Lakes

A string of man-made lakes full of birds, swans and koi — picnics, BBQs and stargazing in the Al Marmoom reserve. Open 24 hours.

🌙 Moon Lake

The crescent-moon-shaped lake — quieter, scenic, and perfect for an early-morning or late-evening visit away from the crowds.

Quiet & scenic

All three are free and have no shops, kiosks or cafés inside — bring everything with you. Best visited in the cooler months (Oct–Apr) and around sunrise or sunset. Your last stop for food, drinks, ice and supplies is Zad, right at the Last Exit.
