Corporate team outing at Al Qudra: ideas for 10 to 60 people

A morning in the open air does more for a team than another meeting room. Here are three outing formats, what to sort in advance and how Zad can supply the day.

Home › Guides › Corporate Team Outing at Al Qudra

A team outing at Al Qudra works because it is simple: open desert, a lake, early light and nothing to book except the food. The trick is choosing a format that suits your group and sorting the practical details early, because there are no shops at the lakes or in the dunes.

Zad is the last shop before the lakes, open 24/7 at the Last Exit on Al Qudra Road. Our outings page sets out how we help with team days: we supply the food, drinks, ice and firewood, and we bring in licensed partners for set-ups, décor and permits where they are needed. Rules change, so treat this as general guidance and follow posted signs.

How Zad helps: team days and company outings for 10 to 60 people. Tell us the date, the group and the idea, and we come back with a plan and a clear price.

1. Three formats that work

The outings page describes team days as a sunrise ride and breakfast, a lakeside BBQ lunch or a coffee station for your crew. Here is how each tends to play out.

  • Sunrise ride and breakfast: an easy ride on the cycle track, then breakfast together. Good for mixed fitness levels if you choose the shorter loops.
  • Lakeside BBQ lunch: a relaxed midday format with a grill, a shaded spot and time to talk. Best in the cooler months.
  • Coffee station: a simple option for a short visit, a walk around the lakes or a photo stop.

See our cycling guide for the loops, and the lakes family guide for easy walks and picnic spots.

2. What Zad can supply

For smaller groups or add-ons, the ready-to-go kits on the outings page are pre-ordered on WhatsApp and packed for your pickup time. Every item is also sold separately, so send us your own list and we will build it.

  • Lake BBQ Box (4 to 6 people): foldable BBQ grill, 3 kg charcoal, fire-starter gel, tongs and 2 bags of ice, AED 125.
  • BBQ Refill (bring your own grill): 4 kg charcoal, fire-starter gel and a bag of ice, AED 65.
  • Lake Picnic Box (for 4): 4 chicken wraps, 2 x 1.5 L water, 4 London Dairy ice creams, a bag of ice and a beach mat, AED 199.
  • Rider Breakfast (clubs of 6 or more): cappuccino, croissant and Pocari Sweat 330 ml, AED 38 per rider, ordered the evening before.

Prices are indicative and may vary. For larger groups, tell us the headcount and date and we quote for food, drinks, ice, firewood and supplies, packed for your pickup time.

3. Tailor-made outings

For bigger plans, the process is the same as on the outings page: message us on WhatsApp with the date, group size and idea, and we come back with a written quote. Allow at least a week for tailor-made outings, and message the day before for kits on weekends, public holidays and big event days.

For full set-ups, with tents pitched, décor and seating, we work with licensed partners. Tell us the plan and we will tell you what is possible for your date and spot.

4. Rules and permissions to check first

A company event is not the same as a family picnic. Our camping rules and permits guide notes that event and commercial permits sit with Dubai Economy and Tourism (dubaidet.gov.ae), and that Dubai Municipality (800 900) is the contact for protected areas and camping questions. Zad is a shop, not a regulator, so we cannot confirm a permit for you.

  • BBQ on a stand or in a fire pit, never on the sand.
  • Camping and fires at the lake edge are restricted, so follow the signs.
  • Take every bit of rubbish home. Littering fines start at AED 500.
  • Leave ghaf trees alone and bring bought firewood instead.
  • Keep music low, because sound carries over water.

5. Logistics for a group

Share an offline map and a meeting pin, because signal can be patchy. Ask drivers to stay on hard ground, using our desert driving tips as a briefing. Park legally, clear of the cycle track. Fill the tank in the city, because Zad does not sell fuel.

Brief everyone on the basics in our desert safety tips, and in the hot months, plan the outing for dawn only. The best time to visit Al Qudra guide has the season detail. Drones: rules in Dubai are strict, so check current official guidance first, and if in doubt leave the drone at home.

6. How to enquire

Message Zad on WhatsApp at +971 55 566 6037 with the date, the group size and the idea. We will reply with a plan, and a clear price for anything bigger than a ready-made kit.
